I can finally reveal what I've been working on - an all-black knitwear collection to benefit animal rescue charities (and specifically those that focus on black dogs and cats, who are often the last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized.) I'm running a Kickstarter to help offset the costs of producing the collection - photography, materials, editing, etc - and it just went live this morning. Please, if you have a second to check it out and consider donating, that would be wonderful. There are great prizes for donors- patterns, copies of the collection, yarn, kits, pet goodies... and I think the collection itself is going to be lovely (if you aren't actually into wearing a lot of black, you can, of course, knit it up in other colors ;-) ) Expect a mix of garments and accessories, in fairly classic silhouettes, at a variety of difficulty/intensity levels (but nothing too brutal.)

I will, I'm sure, be talking more about this project as the month wears on- but for now suffice it to say that I'm pretty darn excited about how it's shaping up!
