Kotiya

What do you get when you take a bonnet, an earflap hat, and a slouch, and mix them together with some pompoms and a colorway that reminds me of leopards?

 Kotiya!!

Kotiya

Kotiya is an easy knit with an unusual structure and slightly exotic vibe (or maybe that's the leopard talking.)

  Kotiya

Plus it's ripe with opportunities for pompoms (or as I call 'em, "pompertunities"). Possibly a tasseltunity or two, even, if you want to get crazy.

    1. Aw thank you! I'll have to make a mental note that "Glitter" looks good on me, haha.

  2. Very cool hat variation! I'm not sure if I could rock the pompoms, but I like the different stitch textures. Do you have a photo of the decreases? -sjn821

    1. You can kind of see them here- http://www.flickr.com/photos/alex_tinsley/9520057720/lightbox/
I tried to keep them pretty nondescript so they wouldn't compete with the horizontal texture or the variegation, so they're nothing super exciting ;-)

  3. One of the coolest things about this whole thing is that it so closely matches your eye color! Very cool take on the split-brim-on-steroids thing!

  4. Absolutely love this ! I want to knit this in orange and pretend it's a cunning Jayne hat. Or I just want to knit this.
