Foofoo Beret!

Foofoo indeed! This hat is bunnylicious... all warm fuzzy Malabrigo handspun angora, with little bunnytail-ish pompoms. You could, of course, sub in a smoother yarn for a different look ;-)

For more info, check out the pattern page on Ravelry!

And just so you know, the folks on my mailing list got this pattern totally 100% FREE... and I will probably do it again! So if you like being a super special awesome VIP who gets stuff for free, you might want to consider joining :-) I only send out emails to announce new patterns, so it's a pretty low-spam affair (and, of course, I will never share your info.)

Ah, screw it.

I really like that soft, neutrals/pastels/dusty old feminine colors look, and I want to be the sort of person who surrounds myself in some sort of magical fairyland of prettiness, like this person or this person or especially this person. I do. It's so... pretty.

But the fact of the matter is...

I think I might just like color too much.

So, fine, color. I guess you win. I embrace you.

But someday I'm going to make JUST ONE ROOM pretty, ok?

(Speaking of color, I've finally got some mixed-fiber "wild card" batts up in the etsy shop! I managed to only spin two of them. It was hard.)

Things are happening behind the scenes...

... I promise.

The beautiful rovings I got for Christmas from various family members and Vivians.

Carding! It is happening! And batts will be available in the etsy shop soon!

Bonus: I didn't even give myself a horrible case of textile lung this time. Always wear a mask.

Pog is a much more willing model than Rupert was:

She's surprisingly photogenic for someone a little ugly:

Rupe won't even try.

Yes, I realize I've become one of those crazy people who posts pictures of their pets all over the place. Sorry. They're around a lot.

I am also just about to add some stuff to the wedding planning blog, for those of you who were asking about it. Hooray!
