First up, in Lobster Pot Cashmere (mmm) is Peek:

Shaped with shortrows to radiate out from around the i-cord edged keyhole, which can be worn to the side or back (or, you know, if you LIKE it in the front....) A very satisfying amount of slouch.
The second one I call "Space Case", and I will be the first to admit it's kinda silly. But I totally love it anyway. I met the KnitCollage folks at TNNA and they are super sweet, and their yarns are just gorgeous- so when KnitCulture offered me a chance to try them out I went for it.

It reminds me of a space helmet from a 60's B movie about alien babes from the planet Alaska. Or... something.

I'm a professional model, btw. No big deal.
Love the last photo of you, Alex. It's like you don't even try and magic emerges from the photo. Brilliant modeling! (No big deal, of course.)
ReplyDeleteI call that one Blue Steel.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the edge of my seat waiting for Magnum to be revealed...
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for the Peek pattern!! Do you have a rough estimate for when it will be available? I'll be buying the yarn today in drooling anticipation... <3
ReplyDeleteI think I'm allowed to release it November 1st, though it might be available through KnitCulture in kit form before that :-)
ReplyDeleteAlso whenever I see your screen name I get the Pete & Pete theme song in my head. Hehe. (Also when I see the word "Polaris"...which happens a lot since I named a hat that. Ha.)
Haha that's awesome! I actually never noticed they were saying that in the theme song even though I grew up watching Pete & Pete. It wasn't till after I started using this name for everything that my friend sent me the YouTube video and it was a revelation!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I look forward to Nov 1st then, or buying the kit before then. Thanks for making & sharing such awesome stuff ;D
