Brioche How- To Video

In the Heartbreaker pattern I recommended looking up how-to videos for brioche in the round... but it turns out that I couldn't find any that really demonstrated what I wanted, so I tried to make one. With bad lighting, lousy equiptment (my iphone) and iMovie, which I only kind of understand. So, uh, here's my attempt.

Please excuse my wonky finger. SOMEbody mistook my finger for part of her nylabone (it was my fault for holding it, but it's making it tough to knit.)

I know I'm moving a little fast... sorry. It's hard to slow down and think about it, I start messing up :-P But hopefully this is a little helpful anyway- brioche makes a lot more sense once you see it done, at least in my experience.

  1. your commentary on the video is hilarious. and I've never done brioche, in the round or flat, but this looks fun! is that sick? :) regardless, this is something I'd like to try, so thanks for the video.

  3. ok this one brought me out of lurker status. :)

I really REALLY loved your video. It's amazing how I will avoid something like the plague and it turns out it's an easy stitch or technique after all. I'm all inspired now and see a brioche in the round cowl coming soon....

    Thanks for posting!

  4. Yay, I'm so glad you guys are finding it useful. The best advice I can give you for brioche is...don't screw up. Go slowly. 'Cause tinking back is a pain in the butt and frogging back is nearly impossible. At least for me, and I'm usually pretty good at taking my knitting apart and rebuilding it.
