Timberline - Once More with Color
(Look familiar? It's the hotel from The Shining. The outside, anyway.)
This bug is the prettiest living creature I think I have ever seen, and it landed on my pants. It was a little over an inch long, and friggin SPARKLY.
This is a Douglas Squirrel, which I named Douglas. He was very angry with me, sitting in his space. Much loud, bird-like chittering. I left him a little bit of trailmix for his trouble.
Every time I have my camera by flowing water, I get really carried away with the slow shutter speed.
Check out those bike-seat marks on the jeans. One of these days the butt's just going to fall off completely.
Shootin' through my sunglasses!
(and that. He went up much higher than me, heh.)
My good side.
I can't believe I didn't take any decent picture of the inside of lodge... it was very cool. I guess my altitude-addled brain just didn't think of it. Arg.
Also, just because Travis is wearing my experimental fractal Cosy-fiber-club hat in every picture does not mean it's his, no matter what he thinks.
