Christmas knittings!

Now that I've delivered my Christmas presents (well, all but one, I'll put that one up later) I can finally show you what I've been doing for the last forever-time.

My mom wanted a Dandy scarf, in chocolate brown. Same yarn, the Debbie Bliss Pure Silk. My hair looks pretty awesome here.

A pretty plain-jane hat for my dad, though something made out of Annapurna (Verb for Keeping Warm) is never "plain-jane". Held double so as to not go insane.

My younger sister wanted a hat just like the previous Stella hat I made, which was red, sooo.... it's a red stella hat! Different yarn, but Malabrigo is better anyway (in Vermillion.)

I also promised Katy a pair of alligator mittens for her birthday several years ago. I was finally on track to finishing them, but when they got to this stage I yelled "AHH THEY'RE AUDREY II MITTENS" (from Little Shop of Horrors) and convinced her to let me leave them that way.

Those teeth were a bitch. Picked up stitches around the mouth and then picot-bound them off.

Felted French Press slippers for my other sister. These were finished super last minute (especially since our apartment's washer broke and I had to experiment with lots of hand-felting techniques...plungers work the best.) That is why this picture is godawful. They're cute though.

A hat for Travis's dad, in AVFKW Metamorphosis. I liked the pattern; I'll probably release a version of it at some point.

Annnnndd... some kinda-useless artsy pictures of a Damson that I made for Travis's mom! Hooray! It's some sort of Curious Creek laceweight silk/merino blend.

  1. Merry Christmas! I love all of the knits, but the alligator mittens especially made me smile.

  2. Merry Christmas! That's a lot of lovely knitting you've done there...

  3. wow, that is a lot of knitting and all so great. awesome wallpaper by the way.

  4. The alligator mittens are so creative! (:
On an unrelated note, your wallpaper is really cool.
