Lookie, I made an Ishbel!
(Oh, how I wish I was Ysolda. Damson's been out for, what, a month? And 500 people've already made it! And yes, I will probably make one (or two) as well. Such is the magic. Perhaps I need a cooler name.)
The yarn is Handmaiden Camelspin in a particularly pretty skein of Mineral (I don't like most of them, but I very much like this one.) A gift from Travis last Christmas which has finally been released from the jar of special yarns and let loose into the wild. The wild of my neck.
In other news, for you local folk, I will be at Crafty Wonderland on Sunday, Oct 11th, 11am-4pm. It's in the basement of the Doug Fir (where the music happens.)
I am bringing a bunch of yarn and other fun stuff (I'll put up some pictures later, but the yarn is mostly stuff from the etsy shop, plus a few skeins I never got around to listing.) If you're in Portland you should definitely come, say hi, and check out the wilderness of super-neat crafters. Never too early to Christmas shop, you know. And I think they have a little free crafting table thing that goes on too. So that's fun.
In other, other news... I've decided to scrap my Baby Cables and Big Ones Too and make a Silken Scabbard, a decision that only had a little bit to do with the fact that I wanted the needles for something else. Sorry, Vivian. I'll probably make BCaBOT someday since I paid for the pattern. :-P
P.S. Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival is this weekend! Don't forget! But don't buy up everything good on Saturday 'cause I can't come til Sunday.
