Topographie!

Remember that secret pile of Malabrigo? Yeah it was for this. They wanted a boy version. I'm not terribly thrilled with the way the guy's version turned out, I like the green one much better, but it ain't bad ;-) I think I just like the sparse texture better than the all-over texture. Oh Colinette, you temptress.

Anyway, find it Here

And here is a picture of Aaron looking soooper serious.

  1. Congrats on your publication in Knitty. The hat is really neat! As an Envi Sci person I might need to make one for myself...

  2. I found your blogger address on Knitty. I love this pattern, this yarn choice, this...well, pretty much everything about this! And I thought I would tell you about it. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I love the look of Topographie but I'm a little confused on the pattern stitch. I'm a newbie so bear with me.

After I purl the CC and then ssp do I go back to stockinette? At what point does the 2x2 rib pattern start?

I am planning to make a scarf instead of the neck warmer.

  4. Also you shouldn't be doing any ssp or any other decrease if you're not doing the hat.

  5. There is no ribbing on the neckwarmer, it's just a stockinette tube, only the CC are purled instead of knit. Does that make sense? Think of it as stockinette with a special exception for the CC.
